DROP-OFF & PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS

 

Morning Classes: Escort your student in or drop off

  • Door #2 (the school door) opens at 8:05 AM and automatically locks at 8:30 AM  (Door #1 is always locked).

  • We would like students in their classroom by 8:15 AM to get themselves settled before the first bell rings at 8:25 AM.

  • School starts at 8:30 AM when the second bell rings.

  • PS/PK/K parents can drop off your student at their classroom door. We ask that you give cuddles and kisses at the classroom door, and then let your child independently prepare for the day.

  • Grades 1-8 parents are encouraged to say their goodbyes in the car or at Door #2 to help foster and encourage student independence.

  • Running late? Park in the lot by Door #1 (Church door), ring the bell and the receptionist will buzz you in to sign in your student. One of the values we teach is responsibility, so please know that tardies are tracked for K-8 students. Every 4 tardies count as a ¼ day of absence. 


End-of-School-Day Pick Up

Preschool/Prekindergarten Morning Students

  • Pick up is at 11:15 AM

  • Form a car line along the sidewalk

  • Door #1 - Church door

 Kindergarten Half-Day Students

  • Pick up is at 11:15 AM

  • Form a car line along the sidewalk

  • Door #2 - School door

Kindergarten Full-Day

  • School ends at 2:50 PM

  • Pick up is from 2:50-3:10 PM. If students are not picked up by 3:10, they will be placed in ESC and charges to apply.

  • Pick up at Door #2 - School door

  • Form a car line along the sidewalk

  • Do not park your car and please stay off your cell phone at this time.

Grades 1-8 Students

  • School ends at 2:50 PM

  • Pick up is from 2:50-3:10 PM, after which time students are placed in ESC*

  • Last name A-L pick up at Door #4 in the lower parking lot. Join the car line along the sidewalk.

  • Last name M-Z pick up at Door #2 (School door). Join the car line along the sidewalk.

  • For the safety of our students, and in an effort to move the car line efficiently, we ask that you stay off your cell phone at this time. In addition, if you need to talk to another parent or family, please go to the main parking lot, park your vehicle and talk out of the car line.

  • Due to increasing liability, students are not allowed in the school building or on the school grounds without adult supervision any time after 3:10 PM.

  • *If for any reason your student has not been picked up by this time, he/she will be taken to Extended School Care (ESC) for supervision at the drop-in rate for the short wait until you arrive. They may not remain in ESC unless you’ve made a reservation. All unscheduled drop-in care will be charged as follows: $7.00/child from 3:10-3:30 PM, $16.00/child until 4:00 PM and the full drop in rate of $22.00/child after 4:00 PM. All billing will be done through TADS.

Afternoon Extended School Care (ESC) Pick Up

  • Park at Door #1, call ESC and sign out your student with a caregiver. At times a sign may be posted on Door #1 that ESC students may be in the gym, library, or outside on the playground. 

  • ESC runs from 2:50-5:30 pm and is available by reservation ONLY as space allows (call early for availability on our school line at 952.473.5356)

  • Due to increasing liability, students are not allowed in the school building or on the school grounds without adult supervision any time after 3:10 pm. If for any reason your student has not been picked up by this time, he/she will be taken to ESC for supervision.

  • The program closes daily at 5:30 pm. All children should be picked up and leave the building by that time. There will be a warning given and tardiness after that will result in a late fee of $1.00 per minute per child up to 30 minutes. Please see the ESC Handbook for more detail.
